Save-the-Date

Well known and used in the USA but relatively unknown (yet) in the Netherlands or Israel, save-the-date cards. This small card is sent before your invitation to notify your guests that you are getting married and the date of the wedding. Especially when you marry in a vacation period or during holidays, it is useful. It allows your guests to write down the date in advance! And if you, like us, are getting married in another country gives your guests time to arrange flights and accommodation. You send your save-the-date card about three to six months before your wedding and your wedding invitation six weeks before your wedding.

In your save-the-date card you only write your names and wedding date and of course the official invitation with more information soon! But if your wedding has a specific theme or a website you can also mention that. You can think of save-the-date cards as a refrigerator magnet or a bookmark, but everything is possible.

Unfortunately I have not made and save-the-date cards yet but I hope to do so in the near future.
